The Tetra society is a registered non-profit that recruits technically skilled volunteers to make customized devices for individuals with disabilities of all different ages and backgrounds. An individual comes to Tetra with may have not been able to find what they’re looking for commercially available and they have a barrier to their independence. Whether that be cooking, playing with friends, being able to use a computer etc. Our volunteers make the device for any aspect of daily living based on somebody’s individual needs and specifications. These devices are done at no cost to the client with the goal being providing greater independence and removing barriers from daily living for an individual living with a disability. Support from your foundation will help us to cover the cost of our coordinator who oversees the chapter, the cost of materials to make the customized assistive devices, and enable us to better promote Tetra.
Because of the work of a few, many Prince George charities have benefited by the creation of the Prince George Community Foundation. More than 25 years ago the Foundation was just a dream. Today it has granted back over $4.89 million and we're just getting started.
