Today, the Prince George Community Foundation is announcing that eligible charities in Prince George can now apply for up to $50,000 during their semi-annual grant intakes. The Fall intake opened today.
“On behalf of the Board and Staff of the Foundation we are thrilled that we are able to offer increased support to our local charities.” said Catherine Pennington, President, Prince George Community Foundation. “This would not have been possible without the incredible continuous support of our donors and the community.”
The Foundation aims to improve the well-being and quality life of the community and its residents through financial assistance to non-profit, community-based organizations. The semi-annual granting program is intended to support programs and services in the areas of arts & culture, social services, environment, health, sports and recreation and education.
"Over the years, the Prince George Community Foundation has evolved into one of the CAC's most reliable and generous funding partners, in addition to providing us with excellent financial returns via our foundation endowment," says Eli Klasner, Executive Director of the Prince George & District Community Arts Council. "With today's announcement of such a significant increase to funding and application opportunities, local charities will be supercharged from this truly transformative initiative, gifted to us by our own local community foundation. We are truly blessed by this development." Applicants applying for $10,001 - $50,000 must submit a Letter of Intent by September 23rd, 2022. Short-listed projects will then be invited to submit a complete application form. Grant requests for $10,000 or less need to only complete the application form. The Fall grant cycle deadline is October 15th, 2022. Overall funding available varies for each grant intake.
The Foundation is transitioning to using a new online application portal. Please visit the Foundation’s website at www.pgcf.ca/grants and be sure to review the grant guidelines before applying to review changes to our grant program.
