Theatre professionals Ted Price and Anne Laughlin are donating another Miracle Theatre production to a local non-profit. In fact they believe this cause is so important that they’re donating TWO productions. They are the hit comedies by Norm Foster: “LUNENBURG” and “HERE ON THE FLIGHT PATH”.
All proceeds from these comedies will be used to assist our community’s seniors, should they find themselves facing serious challenges when it comes to paying for adequate food or shelter.
· All monies raised will establish a permanent endowment, so the Prince George Council of Seniors has an annual Emergency Fund to assist the elderly.
· The Endowment Funds will be under the permanent trusteeship of the Prince George Community Foundation who each year will forward the annual investment and interest earnings to the Council of Seniors.
The Prince George Council of Seniors works hard to provide services such as grocery shopping, delivery of affordable meals, food hampers, light housekeeping, assistance in securing housing, caregiver and advance planning support, visits and phone calls, and much more. The Seniors‘ Resource Centre provides assistance and referrals to over 21,000 seniors each year. An emerging priority is to provide emergency food and rent support for the growing number of seniors in precarious circumstances.
